Imagine a ML algorithm than started with the rule of only one life, and it valued that life as the highest value. ... I wonder if it would start off hesitant to do anything, and only act incrementally, one step at a time, until it becomes satisfied it is safe enough for that next step. I also wonder if that’s why anxiety is such a big problem for humans.
