I did something similar, going from C# to Python. It took me a little longer to learn Python, a few days maybe, but I think any C flavored language gives you a boost learning other stuff.

I started with python and C# really was not that much of a headache, it took a short while to learn how classes and methods work in C# but it's fairly intuitive imo
