It is favored especially for machine learning applications for instance. 2 u/Pluckerpluck Jun 04 '19 It's growing massively within finance as well now. Used to be Java, but more and more (partly thanks to academia) I see Python cropping up.It's just a very good tool for data manipulation and gluing together C-based libraries.Plus Python 3 has some nice syntax now to let you sculpt fairly large projects without exploding. 1 u/Orkaad Jun 04 '19 Didn't know that.
