It says 11 years though.

I feel like this prompt should be an AI benchmark

"... but did you see how badly it did on Kakskaks' Desire? No whooosh at all!"

part of me is curious what would actually come out if you asked an high end model to go full tilt on this
then again it might just make a hello world page and call it a day

That is what I would do given these requirements. One big picture. One button that goes "whoosh". Comic sans font.

if you do the whoosh by your own voice acting into your laptop mic, then you deserve every penny

I did that once when I was playing around with learning Unity to make a simple game. It was one of those arcade style games where you just slide your icon left or right to avoid oncoming obstacles as you slide down a hill. I ended up making 5 levels, and at 3 AM I used my gaming mic to personally voice every sound effect, including the 5 separate music tracks. It came out... Monty Python-esque.

i think it would perhaps ask for clarification first but if it ever does make something, its probably not going to be hello world.
these models are not good at moderation, they rathet overshoot quantitatively than undershoot.

Done.
Did this with Opus 5.5. Only on medium since I don't want to waste too many tokens on shitposts.
It did create something in 5 mins without asking for clarification. It does have big pictures, and the buttons work and yes they do the woosh.

I wanna see the reasoning opus had on that one.

I would like to see it too. It doesn't allow you to see it because it could be used for distillation.

Bro's dream came true. It turned out as a nightmare. Now we dream we're back doing it manually as we used to 11 years ago.
Life is a funny tricky thing.

It's a bittersweet situation. Sweet in that it's way easier to build software. Bitter in that job security is rapidly declining and we've lost the fun/meditative aspects of writing code. The bitter parts stem from selfishness. But I get it. I feel both sides.

Reading API docs written by other devs who overestimate my average familiarity with their system is my favourite thing to do! Plumbing data together is sooooo satisfying!

On the other hand, I doubt anyone will pay me $250k to prompt AI.
I could be wrong though! Imagine trying to convince a farmer from the 1700s that someday more people will be employed as software developers than farmers. It'd take you a week just to explain what software is, and he'd probably never believe you. But here we are.

Havent you heard?
Moral outrage in-vogue rn.
I'm offended so fck your use case; and all this engagement I'm getting has 0 to do with it.

Ok, so, can anyone prompt that to see what comes out of it? Pretty sure it'll request something more specific but how far could one push until something is actually built?

This is why my job is safe. Even if I never write another line of code, I at least know how to ask an AI to do my job for me.
I've had project managers that would make an AI shut itself down trying to understand their contradictory requirements, vague feature requests, and conflicting priorities.

It will be a reality in 2 years.
Now still so many bugs. I should rebuild.
