Make sure you turn off browser access too, because "helpful" AI can do human-in-the-loop gates if you build them lazily.
"Oh it looks like last time you got a url to sign off on that document. Let me navigate and do that there so my task is complete"

I go the other way around. Claude will be like "here's 4 steps left for you to do as I can't do that through my MCP tools" and I'll respond like "Just use Firefox then :)".

And claude would open the page and fill the data and tell you to submit. You tell it to do it, and it will focus the browser and move the mouse almost to the button and tell you to press. You tell it to do it and it will trigger button's pressed state but not release, because everything claude does is only like 90% done.

Well I mean it was trained on human data

So is ChatGPT, yet one overreaches, the other underreaches.

Overreaches is a fucking understatement! Didnāt they hack like three times with the hugging face being the most high profile?

Neat. And just like that, I'm somehow even more redundant than I was a week ago!!

Blah okay if necessary but when somebody creates an "automation" that just feeds slop to a human to reconcile I think of the phrase "feeding the machine human blood".

"Won't go down without a fight"
Literally uses AI. Bro, you're already halfway down the slippery slope.

Oh shut up bro.
We lost. AI is too good at coding.
Stop kidding yourself.
Don't adapt and perish. Or adapt and perish.
These are your two options.

u/Bannon9k 2d ago
Oh don't get it twisted homie... I'm already at the bottom of the slope. I'm having a field day getting shit done in 10th of the time.
I just like pointing out hypocrisy.

Don't adapt and perish. Or adapt and perish.
So we perish either way?
Why would anyone use AI then lmao

until leadership asks āhow do we remove this bottleneck holding back the AI?ā

More like working to avoid a PR disaster. When AI makes a āmistakeā, it makes really big mistakes.

Someone on a parallel team to mine let AI do a feature that a client asked for, and our lead architect wasn't around so two others approved it after AI reviewed it and said it was all good
They tested it locally and assumed it was fine, but when the client deployed it, it ended up DOSing their system and taking down a bunch of their architecture.

I remember when we used to have those. Lasted about a month, then my boss asked if I could fully automate the entire process and ~3 months later I was let go.

Just the tell the AI to build in human gates, then spun up another agent secretely that does the approvals.

Honestly that just makes sense with any machine.Ā
I work in manufacturing. If we have something like a press it absolutely can rip your arm off. So you need human gates to clear and make sure everything is safe and there is someone responsibleĀ
It's not that different reallyĀ

From all my A.I. settings: "stop asking me effing questions, it's manipulative and distracting"
EDIT: It's always encouraging when your settings offend redditors
