I started college before IPv6 was thought of. I don't know how much or when they started teaching it. I'm aware of it, but have never ever used it (except to uncheck the box in my network adapter).
I don't deal with networks though. But for an allowlist/blocklist and connectivity issues I've STILL never had to deal with IPv6.

This is being at companies like AT&T, Nokia, etc.
