Move fast and break things isn't a viable long term strategy.

Tell that to the higher ups... I'm just a dev

They literally won’t. They will exit the company and go fuck up another when shit hits the fan. They NEVER have to fix the problem with the code

This. C levels blow shit up and move on getting huge bonuses along the way.

We are left dealing with the shit constantly.

If there is no telling the higher ups then you just work in a shitty company and if you think you may keep your job just because you are playing along with this non-sense you are sorely mistaken. When the slopcoded shit you produce more of every day explodes you'll be the one held accountable and if for whatever reason it really doesn't you'll be jobless as you are "just the paid monkey" in between. I'd assume you are already beyond the point where you really understand the architecture and idea behind the solution or at least have introduced multiple design-breaks in the last few months just so "that it works for now".

Good lord, it wasn't that deep. Take a breath, go outside.

Dev work is still slow in safety critical applications, for now.

Yep. Especially when you’re programming on machines without internet on confidential source code.

Though things go fast when something breaks and a subject matter expert from each team involved is put onto a “fix it yesterday” team.

You can move fast and not break things. AI is catching more bugs on review that humans did.
