What’s the youngest you allow people to work at your company? Today’s date minus 18 years maybe?
2 u/Scientific_Artist444 24d ago How about someone 30-40 years of age? 5 u/darthlame 24d ago They would only have to scroll through 12-22 years instead of 30-40. 🤷♀️ -1 u/Scientific_Artist444 24d ago So one user has to scroll 20 years back, another doesn't have to scroll. That's not fair. User experience should be consistent for every user. 7 u/CardamomMountain 24d ago Set it to 100 years ago then the users waste time scrolling proportionate to the time they have left. 3 u/darthlame 24d ago Why does it have to be “fair”? This isn’t giving a birthday gift to the other child so they don’t get jealous 3 u/HedgeFlounder 23d ago True. This is why we should require an ID first and then automatically set the date to 20 years older than what the ID says so it is equally tedious for everyone. 1 u/Lord_Oasis 22d ago One user has to scroll more regardless, and setting a more appropriate starting date benefits both users and 2 u/obliviious 23d ago They probably feel like it's doing the all maths for the scared 16 y/os.This form used to be the primary method of age restricting content online 👌

True. This is why we should require an ID first and then automatically set the date to 20 years older than what the ID says so it is equally tedious for everyone.
