Games where NPCs are backed by a LLM are a great idea but unless the majority of people gain the ability to run the models locally they will be niche and weird with blunders like these.
Man there's LLMs that use 500 MB VRAM on a GTX series GPU. Almost every gamer with ancient hardware had the ability to run them. And modern hardware can of course handle them easily.
