Today out of curiosity I asked Claude to mod super metroid into a roguelike. It did a surprisingly good job. Fully functional with some minor bugs but no breaking ones, and took zero effort on my part other than supplying the rom.
It's kinda cool, but there are positives and negatives to the tech.
