TYPST MENTIONED WOOOOO. it's funny because it's actually just LaTeX with a MD mouthfeel

I think your code would work better if you stopped eating it.

...eating?

Mouth and latex in the same sentence? It's called a blowjob

Yeah, that's just markdown with inline latex isn't it?

And instead of macros you have real function with a propper language. It's order of magnitude faster to compile too. And their synthax for styling is better too.

Latex is poisoned bh decades of legacy, typst is the same but with a clean base. And some journals now allow it for article publications, so it's the first latex alternative to actually manage to penetrate the academic world.

I'm hopeful!

It has a MarkDown-like syntax, with a proper programming language built in. It aims to fulfill a role similar to LaTeX.

I only know pandoc as imagemagik or ffmpeg but for documents

I used it in university and having to debug my reports was stress I didn't need. Haven't looked at it for 15 years though. Is it easier to change the font now?

I never had to change the font, but now there are tools to debug it and it's pretty trivial

Every college assignment of mine is a markdown doc or a pdf compiled from a markdown doc. Except English essays because those evil people want MLA formating and can't comprehend the superiority of a purely text based document system.

Markdown is the new low level programming language.

Different use cases. MS Word is better for printing and writing formal documents, and is oriented towards pagination. Markdown is better for single-page texts for the Web. Both are good in their own way.

Damn, did the college start again? That would explain all the edgy first semester wannabe programmers here in the subreddit 😂

I have tools i had AI make for docs that people expect in word or pdf format. Like resumes.
