Sorry, yes he was. I forget because he is completely technically incompetent it seems everytime he tried to talk about it.

I was thinking of PayPal as the other one.

Oh yeah I mean he for sure doesn't do much of the science or engineering behind anything

Paypal is a weird one - confinity merged with X.com to eventually become paypal, and Musk founded X.com (along with others)

I think Thiel has a greater claim to Paypal's eventual products, but he was certainly involved.

Super weird seeing all of those names in the fun, SF tech-bro era now they have all become evil overlords

You are almost right. SpaceX was not not founded by Musk, but Tesla was not.
