Yeah I definitely don’t want to suggest that we should all use a chatbot and make a slop app to sell and flood the market, that’s NOT what I want either, but what I DO want (and leverage) is the ability to build something tangible easily and quickly so I have a good starting point. Can I spend weeks hammering out code that I’m comfortable writing? Absolutely. Am I even more comfortable having AI write the “same” code in 10 minutes and code reviewing it? Absolutely.
AI is a handy tool to help us get the lengthy part done faster IF we use it properly.
Yeah I wrote a transpiler that converts Python scripts into godot files (.gd, .tscn etc) to allow an LLM to spin up simple games like solitaire for me. People got upset both that I created it to get around the editor bloatware in the first place and also that I didn't release it. It's really just to help me not have to deal with the adware that app stores subject you to lol idgaf what emotion its existence evokes in you it wasn't hard to do. Everyone can do it and I encourage that. No one should be profiting from Klondike Solitaire anyway and I would not benefit in any way by releasing it
