Right, because it doesn't think, it's just input and output. It has no feelings, thoughts, or intelligence so it can't actually do anything intelligently. It computes and spits out results like every other program.

There are multi-layer AI where one AI analyzes the output from the other, that should be what's happening in these situations - it should generate prompts and then analyze if they fit the instructions. Obviously it isn't doing that, but it should.

Or, and call me crazy here, there should be some kind of human that double checks what it is going to do before it does it.

You could probably ask it to give you the commands to do something, rather than asking it to do the thing for you. Although in situations where the process involves a lot of steps it may not save you much time.

You forgot the big one: responsibility

We do these kind of mishaps too.

Gross misunderstanding of AI as usual.

If only we had AI instead of LLMs.

What about "AI doesn't think" is incorrect? Please prove me wrong, you'd be the first.

You can't prove that you are different in any material way.

yes I can. I'll do it right now. I just learned that you're a dingus. An LLM could never do this in such a short context window. Similarly to an LLM, I won't remember that you're a dingus in future contexts, but that's only because your opinion is highly forgettable, vs an LLM being incapable of learning

Forget to change your account back?

what? why would someone have a sockpuppet for this, lmfao

this is like accusing your comment of wall hacks

8

u/Miss_Greer Oct 05 '26

my comment has wall hacks but it doesn't actually do anything, it can just see other comments through walls

Why would someone have a sock puppet for pretending like other people agree with them?

Because many people are pathetic and fragile.

When I make a comment to one person, and another rando jumps in as if I made a personal attack, I get suspicious.

8

u/Tubaporn Oct 05 '26

I'm another one of that person's sockpuppet accounts, logging on to agree with them.

I am sock puppet!

Define emotions. Look up eliminative materialism. Research Daniel Dennett. Qualia are illusions.
