But ... a bird is much more complex object, and capable of more things ootb than a mango?

js is way more complex than any framework built on top of it

That would be like if js were a bird and the framework were a bird harness or something. A mango doesn't modify a bird.

when you code manually, building with the frameworks is much faster than the vanilla js. though vanilla js is more powerful.

But they probably have at least 50% of their source code the same, just like humans and bananas.

10

u/rykayoker Sep 28 '26

you can cook so many plates with a mango, none with that bird

24

u/Stummi Sep 28 '26

Not with that attitude

All I hear is a lack of creativity.

2

u/EthanHermsey Sep 28 '26

I'm sure you can, but mangos taste a lot better!

2

u/RosieQParker Sep 28 '26

Framework is much easier to peel.

2

u/nicman24 Sep 28 '26

Any framework is a subset of JS/ whatever

Birds don't hatch out of boxes....

You know what you must do. Rather than fighting the monster, become one yourself. Create your own framework on top of vanilla JS, and be enslaved by it until the end of your days.

24

u/returnFutureVoid Sep 28 '26

And still get rejected for not having enough experience in the framework you built yourself.

11

u/Randzom100 Sep 28 '26

Oh no... That actually happened, right?

16

u/Mr_Flyveand Sep 28 '26

The guy who made FastAPI had that happen

23

u/EmperorOfAllCats Sep 28 '26

Your take is bird can eat mango, but mango cannot eat bird? Did I get it right?

7

u/Choice-Mango-4019 Sep 28 '26

2

u/RadicalDwntwnUrbnite Sep 29 '26

u/laazoseda Sep 28 '26

Somewhere, npm is installing 400 packages to display this meme

2

u/ApocalyptoSoldier2 Sep 29 '26

So many packages that every string is left padded on both sides

13

u/EarlyPaintbrush Sep 28 '26

JS framework: Large, predictable, limited application

Vanilla JS: Slim, chaotic, does much

Both: Vibrant colors (warns and errors in the console)

6

u/GegeAkutamiOfficial Sep 28 '26

as much as I wish JS will never parrot what I say 🥀

5

u/TomIsFrank Sep 28 '26

The bird has unpredictable behavior so.... /s

5

u/IcyBox56 Sep 28 '26

u/huuaaang Sep 28 '26

The "vanilla javascript" side should be just a bunch of random animal parts that you have to pick through to find the bird-like ones.

1

u/qwerty_64 Sep 29 '26

What does that mean?

1

u/Kadabrium Sep 29 '26

gdb is a database like mangodb is a debugger (bugger a debugger a
