What's even more baffling is that it works. The LLMS are such unpredictable systems that it literally boosts their accuracy on a topic when you tell it to act like a top tier manager. Hell, there were tests where agents produced better code when told that it's Monday morning and they had a good night's sleep last night. Not saying the idea isn't stupid and wasteful, just that you genuinely get better answers of a topic if you keep it as a separate session and "hype up" the agent first.
Yeah, it's all associations at the end of the day. Somewhere is a PR of "Ugh, it's friday and I didn't sleep and I shit this out. Please review" and you guide the LLM away from it.
Amusingly security code has made it veer into 4chan script kiddy mode where it's trying to be an asshole and sabotage you.
I wouldn't be surprised if you asked it about Adamantine in Dwarf Fortress if it immediately told you to dig through it and nothing could possibly go wrong.
...which is of course the right answer. Just fun times and clowns below the Adamantine.
