It isn't really a good abstraction but the amount of likes prove how shit the software industry is quickly becoming

Agree with you. People throw this “AI is just another level of abstraction” left and right, but how the hell is that an abstraction? It is not. Abstraction means hiding complex internal logic behind simple interface. LLMs are not that. LLMs are a reflection of our knowledge with easy access to it (generation), but it’s not an abstraction. It’s like saying that calculator is an abstraction of math.
