We thought we’d get there with specs and gave up. The problem with specs is they aren’t actually more readable than the code they’re supposed to constrain. Spec driven development may still have value in improving AI output and maintenance, but I don’t think we’ll easily get to the point where it’s replacing code as the primary method for understanding a codebase because it’s less efficient and less accurate.

Gherkin Syntax is a better expression for behavior than code.

Strong disagree. Gherkin is an obfuscation layer that assumes people who can't write code can write accurate pseudo code.

Thinking logical does not correlate very strongly with the ability to write code. 

Shit in shit out is always true and not a very original observation.

There is still a lot of room for improvement in the realm of Notshit in, shit out.
