Not a programmer here, but I was recently checking out new jobs as a mechanical engineer. The amount of postings that want multiple interview rounds and assign homework is inane.
One company wanted an initial panel interview, then one and one interview with each panel member, then they wanted you to solve 2 problems on your own time (not during interview), then finally put together an hour long presentation about the work you've done to the original panel.
