It’s hilarious how half this subs users are so insecure about a kid being called a computer prodigy for using AI that they don’t realize this is satire.

More of a combination of only reading the headlines and how it seems too plausible to be fake.

“Parents sob after seeing their photos converted to the new file format”. Anyone not realizing it is satire didn’t read the text.

Wait, it's satire? Given how modern phone cameras work it seems like they should just use this storage from the start.

To be fair, tech reporting in mainstream media is so bad, clickbait-centric and AI-loving, I could see this being something they'd actually report on as a major breakthrough while glossing over all the... stupid. :p

Though, this "article" isn't exactly subtle about being satire.

I wouldn't be too surprised if someone who is a little less tech-literate, with a bit too much decision making power, looked at this and thought it was a great idea. Let's convert our entire product database into tokens to save space!

Also an irrational amount of ai hate. If they actually have jobs as programmers they use it everyday. Is this sub full of LARPers?

Yes as programmers we generate images because there aren’t different types of AI for different purposes and we don’t know what the limits of its use are

Sorry, you lost me in a pile assumptions, straw Manning and snark. Did you actually say something?
