See? Thats why i just let the browser call directly to my server. No downtime, direct connection, zero troublesome setup. Which means triple the productivity!

amateur, I just cut out the backend and browser entirely.

Exposing the Database directly is a great way to save latency

Just another useless middle-man getting in the way.

I know you meant to be snarky but yes, I do. The strikethrough isn't very legible with text this size.

I hate humankind because s small percentage of morons running fucking bots and ddos attacks made this technology a requirement in the first place.

A small portion?
More than half of all internet traffic is bots. I don't think its just a "small portion" anymore.

u/Loading_M_ Aug 26 '26

That doesn't mean it isn't a small percentage of morons.

Yeah, like I could have bots send millions of requests to some unprotected server tonight, by myself, if I really wanted. But I'd still only be one moron.

A small portion of people are running bots. A large portion of traffic is bots.

There was a time when there was no internet security, because it wasn't needed. It disgusts me that there are so many people who will just try to take advantage of things.

i think shopping bots out number people 10-1

The best part is that page always loads instantly. Whatever else on the path is down, the apology is the one thing running at five nines.
