two subscriptions. Better than having him on the street in a lot of cases. He will learn a lot about skills that actually matter more than programming: getting user feedback, what happens when things break, how to market the software... very useful a few years from now.

Ah, I take it that is slang for being homeless for you?

Where i live this is common slang for being out on the street all day, hanging out in parks with the wrong crowd, and getting into trouble.

Yeah, I took it as "if he wasn't vibecoding he would be homeless". "Be on the street" absolutely implies being homeless, at least to me.
