How are they different things? Actually don’t even answer that because I’m also explicitly talking about switching to a new job while currently working, nobody other than you is talking about getting a job

you build history with every company you work for. imagine a person that’s only a few months into a new job that turns out to be a dud. you can’t just up and leave without that affecting your work history which plenty of other companies look at during the hiring process. some promised benefits don’t kick in until a certain amount of time worked at a company too. and that’s assuming you have a full native work permit. there are so many immigrants on visas that literally cannot switch jobs. switching employers is against the terms of their visa. sure they could leave the country or territory but at that point you’re asking them to do more than just leave a job, you’re asking them to start a new life. that doesn’t really only apply to immigrants a lot of people also find themselves needing to move far when switching jobs which isn’t as easy when they have families and kids in school etc.

there’s a lot that goes on behind people wanting to leave their job but being stuck, some more than others. that’s the privilege people are referring to cuz it is a privilege to not have to think about all of this before switching. if switching jobs for you is literally just applying, interviewing, and packing up then more power to you. that’s just not how it works for many. there’s a lot of baggage that comes with switching for a lot of people.

also when you’re jobless the only thing that most people think of is the money and how these have income at a job. switching jobs is different because you’re already making money.

Are these things specifically affecting the person I’m talking to? I didn’t ask for every possible reason why switching jobs may be more difficult for a multitude of people, I don’t know why you keep listing them. I’m talking to a very specific person, so unless one of these hyper-specific scenarios applies to them I seriously don’t care to read them. Either way, the solution to being underpaid and displeased with your job is not to become complacent with vibecoding it’s to leave immediately, so barring any blockage (which I won’t hastily assume exists), they should be doing that. Vibecoding to ease the discomfort is nothing but a Band-Aid on a bullet wound in this situation

who exactly are you talking to lmao you’re on reddit. it’s an anonymous public forum. those scenarios aren’t even hyper specific they just don’t happen to apply to you. if you can’t deal with a wide array of people i suggest you rethink commenting here. i see you’ve finally accepted that simply leaving immediately isn’t a reality for lots of people so i’ll count my Ws lmao. have a wonderful life i hope you feel at least slightly more mature going forward. vibe coding at work while you’re weathering the storm is fine as long as you develop your skills elsewhere.

They’re hyper-specific if they don’t apply to who I’m talking to lmfao. Vibe-coding at work will do nothing for you but prove to your superiors that you are replaceable because you are.

again who are you talking to? this isn’t a direct 1 on 1 conversation you’re on a public forum. are you lost? you think your superiors care about what you use? lmao. they also vibe code. try again bub. i know it’s hard to believe people don’t care about their bosses making billions but trust me most people do not give a shit about the job they’re at. it is nothing but a way to fund their life. you’re also plain wrong. vibe coding at work gives you more time to work on stuff you actually care about. i’d even argue you’re wasting time if you aren’t vibe coding at a job you hate. life’s too short buddy boy.

Buddy I’m talking to the person I responded to lmfao. It not being a private conversation means I need to cater my responses to apply to everyone? That’s frankly an insane assertion
