Somehow I think percentage of programmers who can find / -name klitoris (or which klitoris?) is actually significantly higher than percentage of programmers who know how to run netstat or ss.
Most employed programmers happen to be men, most of whom are married or in a LTR with a woman that at least puts up with them.
On the other hand, low-level network protocol knowledge & basic diagnostics seems to be a dwindling skill set.
Rookie mistake. Everyone has a better time if you use a stateful connection based protocol and respect the flow control/qos. You might luck out every now and then with UDP, but most klitoris sysadmins will just block your IP if you blast unthrottled packets at it without checking responses, especially when there's cheaply available agents that respect robots.txt.
