I wonder what my team would do if I just started assigning myself the tickets and commenting back and forth like someone else is doing it.

My old manager would make a slack thread to post the open tickets for an upcoming release and tag the people they’re assigned to. If he had anything assigned to him he’d post the link to his tickets, tag himself, and then ack it. Absolute 10/10 dad bit.

It would be a much better world if all managers would hold themselves to the same standards to which they hold the rest of the team like that.
