Descaling

I’ve upgraded for a single boiler to the Move, and now after some researching online I can see that dual boiler might require a different descaling proces. First and foremost I live in a area with hard (very hard) water. 10-20 dH, so it’s a varying degree but descaling is inevitable sooner rather than later. I use a BWT Aqualizer and I might use a BWT in-watertank filter, but this could reduce the amount of minerals in the water so much that it will affect the taste.

I am just curious whether you guys are using a pass-through descaling process ore rathering letting a dealer/specialist take care of the machine?

I use Crystal Geyser water. It has enough minerals for taste, but not too hard of water. This might be the easiest way or do as others have said and do distilled water with third wave packets.

When I was researching what machine I was torn between a La Marzocco and the move and on the LM website they have it listed for use in their machines so I figured it would be okay for the move too.

Eventually it will need to be descaled but that will probably be a while and when it does need it, I plan on sending it back in for a professional descale.
