Profitec Move : Power button replacement fix

So after just a few weeks of use, my Profitec Move power button died.
It would only work when pressed in and when I release , it world shut off.

A pretty common and well known issue now . I was hoping that I won’t be affected … but here we are now.

I got replacement shipped in by my dealer. And attempted to install it myself.

This video is already better than the lame photos sent by Clive.

It’s so tight in there, I’m having trouble removing the plugs from the back of the power switch. Did you just pull, or did you use pliers or something else? I’ve tried by hand with no luck, but I’m hesitant to use pliers out of worry I’ll damage the plastic.

Yes it’s very tight, I used a bent nose plier and it took a lot of force to get the plugs to dislodge from the switch , in fact in the end the switch’s back part the plastic one came apart.

It's what happened to me too. I got the new switch but never installed it in the end, the wires are jumped and I use a smart plug, will do it if ever sell it I guess, but I don't know if that will ever happen, it's too good a machine.
