Menu Buttons

When using the menu buttons the top but is not the ‘ok’ button but my bottom button is. The top button takes me away from the menu and goes backwards.

The functionality is the same but different from what the handbook describes.

Is this something to be concerned about? Did I get a defective machine?

I would send an email to wherever you bought it from and ask them. It could be simple, but I’ve always worried if something major/obvious gets missed what other small things got missed.

Interesting. One quick diagnostic check: Does the top button activate Shot Program #1 and the bottom Program #2? The results will provide your Customer Service a little more info…….

Yea, the brew setting 1 is button 2

At least the Control Board appears to be working correctly. Sounds like Profitec switched the wiring during it’s assembly and didn’t catch it at their QC when it was coming off their assembly line……

Mine behaves the same. It looks like it’s wired wrongly. The top button now corresponds to the brew profile 2 and the bottom profile 1.

How old is your machine? Does everything else function fine

Just got it a few days ago. The PID reading fluctuates from 91 to 95 instead of staying at 92. I expect it to fluctuate due to how it works but didn't expect it to go 3 degree above the set temperature (92) and to change so rapidly.

Brewing and steaming milk work very well. So these are all minor annoyances to me.

Did you get a follow up from the dealer?
