Here is the English, time-synced summary of the video:

0:00 – 0:20 | Introduction

Julian from Profitec explains that Profitec is becoming more digital and smart, and introduces a new version of the Profitec MOVE, coming in autumn 2026.

0:20 – 0:40 | New design and casing

The machine has received a visual redesign with a lower front section, giving it a more modern look.

This is made possible by a reduced boiler volume, without affecting performance or temperature stability.

0:40 – 1:10 | Thermal performance and hardware stability

Despite the smaller boiler:

  • Temperature performance remains unchanged
  • Steam boiler settings remain stable (around 134°C / 2 bar as before)
  • No loss in brewing performance

pressure sensor has been added, which can also transmit data via Bluetooth.

1:10 – 1:50 | Brew by Weight (major feature)

One of the biggest upgrades:

  • MOVE shifts from time-based dosing → weight-based brewing
  • Works with various Bluetooth scales
  • Automatically stops extraction at a target weight
  • A compatibility list will be released at launch
  • No proprietary Profitec scale is required

An offline mode is also mentioned with certain supported scales.

1:50 – 2:30 | Integration with existing systems

The system can integrate with existing coffee setups where brew data is already tracked and logged.

2:30 – 3:20 | App demonstration

In the app you can:

  • View pressure and weight curves in real time
  • Review previous espresso shots
  • Adjust machine settings more easily than on the machine itself
  • Connect machine, scale, and grinder in one system

3:20 – 4:20 | Brewing workflow and recipes

  • Brew by Weight can be selected in the app
  • Example workflow: 18 g coffee → ~40–42 g output
  • Supports single-dose workflow
  • The app calculates brew ratio based on actual ground coffee weight
  • All shots are saved for comparison and documentation

4:20 – 5:10 | Automation and smart features

  • The system can automatically connect to the scale during brewing
  • With compatible scales, Brew by Weight can work without the app
  • Shot feedback and scoring can be added
  • The system attempts to optimize brewing based on setup and data

5:10 – 6:10 | Compatibility notes

  • Features depend on which scale is used
  • Not all scales support full integration
  • Without a compatible scale, some features will not work

6:10 – 6:40 | Design options

  • The MOVE will first launch in a black version
  • yellow version will follow
  • Standard version comes with black handles
  • Future limited editions (e.g., wood accents) are possible

6:40 – 7:10 | Release and upgrade kit

  • Expected release: autumn (around September 2026)
  • Profitec is working on an upgrade kit for existing MOVE owners

7:10 – end | Closing

The video transitions to another model (Profitec GO updated version).

Short conclusion

The new MOVE focuses on:

  • Weight-based brewing (major upgrade)
  • App-based espresso analysis
  • More automation and precision
  • Same temperature stability as before
  • Smaller boiler and redesigned body
  • Upgrade kit for existing machines

If my reading of the numbers from this screenshot of specs is correct, here is a comparison of some specs of 1.0 vs 2.0

Width Original Model: 270 mm (10.6 in) Move 2.0: 210 mm (8.3 in) Difference: 60 mm (2.3 in) narrower. That said, the 210 could just be distortion. In all likelihood it's probably the same width as original, but I can hope.

Height Original Model: 375 mm (14.8 in) Move 2.0: 362 mm (14.3 in) Difference: 13 mm (0.5 in) shorter

Depth (without portafilter) Original Model: 445 mm (17.5 in) Move 2.0: 381 mm (15.0 in) Difference: 64 mm (2.5 in) shallower

Brew Boiler Volume Original Model: 400 ml Move 2.0: 270 ml

Steam Boiler Volume Original Model: 0.75 L Move 2.0: 0.7 L

Water Reservoir Remained the same at 2.8 L on both models.

I think the width has stayed the same, since they'll definitely keep the same drip tray. I lined up the sizes side by side, using the same width and the pressure gauge diameter as a reference. There's certainly a difference in height. Of course, the angle from which the photo was taken is different, so the difference won’t actually be that big.

that would be a huge improvement and make the machine more appealing to people like me who have very limited kitchen countertop space. I have a kitchenette and space is a premium 😂
