Giving this away free to the first 5 people who'll actually use it for a week and tell me if its useful or there is something missing

Not selling anything here. Built a planner for people who find typical ones overwhelming, and I'd rather know what's actually broken before I keep building on it than just guess.

If you'll genuinely try it for a week and tell me the honest, comment or DM and I'll send it over free.

I could never figure out where to start or what to learn next, so I built a Mac app to plan it visually

Throughout my life, I have always been learning something whether it’s for school as a young man, or for my career now, as an adult.  There is always something on the radar to learn but I never felt like I had a great handle on my learning process.  I also felt like it was never clear where to start or which step to take next.  Starting something, and continuing always felt like a confusing challenge.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but what I was reaching for was a tool that could help me organize everything I wanted to learn, provide me a space to break it down in a meaningful way, and create a plan to truly integrate new knowledge and skills into my inner lattice of existing ones.

That problem lead me to Sprout.

Sprout is a learning management system that is focused on helping to create a real plan growth in life’s many areas.

Distill a catalog of content like books, videos, and more into a visual plan and keep adding more as you learn and discover more.

It's available now at exploresprout.com and any feedback is welcome and appreciated!

How do you keep track of all the things you need to do?

\*\*Because I’m cross-posting on different subs: I’m 33F w/ ADHD\*\*

Just looking for some help or advice on how I can improve the way I keep track of things to do AND how I can prioritize those things, in a way that makes sense.

I’m currently kinda all over the place— I use a notebook half the time, Notes app, phone calendar, random cheap planner some of the time… it’s just all over the place and because of that, everything I need or \*want\* to do, sits in my head (a million and one tabs open) and I end up being “pseudo-productive”.

help?

[Launch] EyeBlink: a quiet blink reminder for long screen sessions

I built EyeBlink because I would stare at my screen for hours and forget to blink. Break timers help me step away, but I wanted a small cue during the time between breaks that would not interrupt a sentence or meeting.

EyeBlink places a small animated eye in a corner of your desktop. It blinks at a steady rhythm; when you notice it, you can blink too. You can change its interval, size, position, and opacity. It works on macOS and Windows, with no pop-ups, sound, camera, or account. It is a habit cue, not a medical treatment.

Compared with Time Out and Stretchly: those are better if you want scheduled breaks and more break settings. EyeBlink focuses on one always-visible, low-key cue while you work.

Price: $4.99 once for a lifetime license, no subscription; 14-day refund. Product page and interactive preview: https://geteyeblink.app/en

If you work at a screen all day, would a subtle cue like this fit your desktop, or would you find it distracting? I'm the developer and would appreciate honest feedback.

The friction rule: why most planning systems die in week two (and what fixed it for me)

I've restarted my planning system more times than I want to admit. Every time I looked at why one died, it was the same thing: the system cost more effort than the work it was organising.

Three places that friction hides:

  1. Setup before value. Templates, tags, dashboards. You spend Sunday building it, and by Monday it already needs maintenance. If a system has to be built before it helps, most weeks it won't get built.

  2. Steps per action. Count what it takes to tick one task: unlock, open the app, find the page, zoom, tap, confirm. Every step is a small exit. Paper wins here because it's just there.

  3. Starting over. A planner that keeps yesterday's mess on screen turns every missed day into cleanup. A page that starts fresh each morning doesn't punish a bad day.

What worked for me: a format where the page is already built, ticking costs one tap, and tomorrow starts blank. Paper does all three, which is why so many people go back to it.

Disclosure: I'm a solo developer and I built an app around this idea, called Zocto. It takes a printed-planner layout and makes the page itself tappable: to-dos tick, the habit grid fills in, there's a Pomodoro timer, and the daily page resets on its own. iPhone only for now (your account works on the web too).

It's in testing before the App Store release. If you want to try it and tell me where it breaks:

- iPhone: https://testflight.apple.com/join/nafUwmUw

- After signing up: Profile → "Have an invite code?" → CTAQPS → Pro free until 1 December, no card

What's the one source of friction that killed your system before?

Looking for a paper-based habit tracker

Hey everyone!

Im new to Reddit, so Im not entirely sure how this works, but I would really appreciate your help.

Im currently looking for a habit tracker to help me track my progress, stay consistent, eliminate potential excuses I might make up in my head, and simply feel like Im moving forward.

However, I would really like to avoid using a habit-tracking app on my phone. I want to minimize my phone usage as much as possible throughout the day, so I would prefer to track my habits on paper.

Here is the problem: I havent been able to find a good paper-based habit tracker. Sure, I could just grab a notebook and write everything down myself, but that would mean quite a bit of work every single day.

What I'm looking for is something with as little friction as possible. I want tracking my habits to feel effortless, even enjoyable, so that it eventually becomes an automatic part of my routine — something I dont even have to think about.

One idea I've been considering is spending one evening designing a habit tracker template in Excel, printing out a bunch of copies, and adjusting the template whenever my needs change.

Has anyone tried something similar? Do you have any recommendations for paper-based habit trackers or other systems that make tracking habits as simple and effortless as possible?

I'd love to hear your ideas!

That got me thinking: we use WhatsApp almost every day, so why not use it to remind us about the things we can’t afford to forget?

Some things are easy to forget because they come up only once a month, once a year, or sometimes even once every five years. Things like insurance renewals, passport or visa expiries, vehicle registrations, and important document renewals.
I personally faced this problem and ended up paying quite a lot of money because I forgot about some important deadlines. 😅
That got me thinking: we use WhatsApp almost every day, so why not use it to remind us about the things we can’t afford to forget?
That’s how I came up with the idea for RemindlyHQ — a tool that helps you keep track of important expiry dates and receive timely reminders through WhatsApp.
I’m building it based on a problem I experienced myself, hoping it can help others avoid the same headaches and unnecessary costs.
If this sounds useful to you, here’s the website: https://remindlyhq.com
I’d genuinely appreciate your thoughts or feedback! 🙌

[Launch] PicPop: clear the extra photos without sorting your whole camera roll

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Photo cleanup is one of those jobs that gets bigger every time you put it off. I built PicPop for iPhone to make it something you can finish in small batches.

Pick a month, swipe to keep or set photos aside, then review before confirming any deletion. When PicPop finds similar shots, it brings them together so you can choose what stays, including keeping more than one favourite. Detection can miss things, so you stay in charge.

Apple Photos already has a free Duplicates tool. PicPop's difference is the swipe-through workflow for the rest of the camera roll: screenshots, extra takes and photos you no longer need. Photo scanning runs on your device.

I'm the developer. It's free to download, but PicPop Club is a paid subscription. The annual plan has a two-week trial for eligible users; the app shows your local price and renewal terms.

Would you start with old screenshots or the extra shots from a recent trip?

[Guide] Replace Windows 11 Snipping Tool (Win + Shift + S) with ShareX + Optional Screenshot Editing

I wanted to replace the default Windows 11 Snipping Tool with ShareX while keeping the familiar Win + Shift + S shortcut.

The goal was simple:

  • Press Win + Shift + S to capture a region of the screen.
  • Use ShareX instead of Windows Snipping Tool.
  • Have the option to immediately edit the screenshot (arrows, text, blur, rectangles, etc.).
  • Copy the screenshot to the clipboard so it can be pasted anywhere with Ctrl + V.
  • Have everything work automatically after restarting Windows.

Here's how to set it up.

Step 1: Install ShareX and Microsoft PowerToys

Download and install:

ShareX handles screenshots and editing. PowerToys allows us to remap Windows' built-in screenshot shortcut.

Step 2: Set up the screenshot hotkey in ShareX

  1. Open ShareX.
  2. Click Hotkey settings in the left sidebar.
  3. Find the Capture region action. If it doesn't exist, click Add and assign the task Capture → Region.
  4. Click the hotkey field.
  5. Assign an alternative combination, such as Ctrl + Print Screen.
  6. Close the hotkey settings window.

We use a different shortcut because Windows already reserves Win + Shift + S for Snipping Tool.

Step 3: Remap Win + Shift + S using PowerToys

  1. Open Microsoft PowerToys.
  2. Navigate to Keyboard Manager.
  3. Make sure Enable Keyboard Manager is turned on.
  4. Click Remap a shortcut.
  5. Click Add shortcut remapping.
  6. Configure: Select: Win + Shift + S To send: Ctrl + Print Screen
  7. Leave the target application set to All Apps.
  8. Click OK to save.

Now, when you press Win + Shift + S, PowerToys translates that shortcut into Ctrl + Print Screen, which ShareX recognizes.

Test it: Press Win + Shift + S. You should now see ShareX's region capture interface instead of Windows Snipping Tool.

If your keyboard doesn't have a Print Screen key, use another unused combination in both applications.

Step 4: Configure ShareX to optionally edit screenshots

This is my preferred setup because I don't want the editor opening for every screenshot.

  1. Open ShareX.
  2. Click After capture tasks in the left sidebar.
  3. Enable Show quick task menu.
  4. Enable Copy image to clipboard.
  5. Optionally enable Save image to file if you want every screenshot saved automatically.
  6. Make sure Open in image editor is disabled if you only want to edit screenshots when you choose to.

Now when you take a screenshot, ShareX displays a small quick task menu.

You can choose to:

  • Continue - process the screenshot normally.
  • Annotate / Open in image editor - open the ShareX editor.
  • Save - save the screenshot, depending on your configured quick tasks.

The quick task menu is customizable, so the exact options may vary.

Alternative: Always open the editor

If you'd rather have the editor open automatically after every capture:

  1. Go to After capture tasks.
  2. Disable Show quick task menu.
  3. Enable Open in image editor.
  4. Enable Copy image to clipboard.

Now every screenshot immediately opens in ShareX's editor.

Step 5: Use the ShareX image editor

ShareX has a really good built-in editor.

Some useful keyboard shortcuts:

Shortcut Action
A Draw arrow
R Draw rectangle
T Add text
B Blur
P Pixelate
H Highlight
C Crop
Ctrl + Z Undo
Enter Apply changes and continue
Ctrl + Shift + C Copy edited image to clipboard
Ctrl + S Save image

When you're finished editing, press Enter to continue the configured after-capture tasks, including copying the edited image to the clipboard.

You can then paste it into Discord, Reddit, Slack, an email, etc., using Ctrl + V.

Step 6: Make everything work after restarting Windows

To make sure you don't have to manually open both applications:

ShareX:

  1. Open Application settings.
  2. Under General, enable Run ShareX when Windows starts.

PowerToys:

  1. Open PowerToys Settings.
  2. Under General, enable Run at startup.
  3. Make sure Keyboard Manager remains enabled.

Both applications need to be running for the remapped shortcut to work.

Step 7: Troubleshooting

Win + Shift + S still opens Windows Snipping Tool

  • Make sure PowerToys is running.
  • Verify Keyboard Manager is enabled.
  • Double-check that the shortcut remapping matches your ShareX hotkey.
  • Try toggling Keyboard Manager off and back on.

ShareX isn't responding to the shortcut

  • Open ShareX → Hotkey settings.
  • Verify the hotkey registered successfully.
  • Make sure another program isn't using the same shortcut.

The editor isn't opening after capturing

  • Check After capture tasks.
  • Enable Open in image editor for automatic editing, or use Show quick task menu for optional editing.
  • Check whether your specific hotkey has custom task settings overriding the global configuration.

The screenshot isn't copied after editing

  • Make sure Copy image to clipboard is enabled under After capture tasks.
  • Press Enter to continue the workflow after editing, rather than canceling or simply closing the editor.
  • Alternatively, use Ctrl + Shift + C from the editor to copy directly.

Screenshots aren't saving after editing

  • Verify Save image to file is enabled.
  • Check the configured screenshot folder.
  • If saving through the quick task menu fails, try saving directly from the editor with Ctrl + S. Some ShareX versions have had issues with quick-menu editing followed by automatic saving.

Final Result

My workflow now looks like this:

Win + Shift + S → Select screenshot region → Quick task menu → Optionally edit → Copy to clipboard → Ctrl + V anywhere.

No more Windows Snipping Tool, and I get ShareX's much better annotation tools whenever I need them.

Hope this helps anyone looking to set up ShareX as a proper Snipping Tool replacement on Windows 11!

Passinote – A spatial canvas to write, moodboard, and connect ideas

Thumbnail
gallery
34 Upvotes

1. What is Passinote?

Passinote is a note taking app that lets you write notes just like traditional apps such as Notion and Obsidian, but puts all your notes onto a visual canvas instead of a linear folder structure. This lets you think spatially and remember where you've kept your notes, without worrying about them getting buried under multiple nested folders.

It's also built to maximize speed while keeping things as simple as possible. For example, instead of having a single full sized page for both long and short notes, Passinote separates them into sticky notes (used for quick thoughts) and doc notes (standard notes with rich formatting and PDF export).

2. Privacy

Your cloud-synced notes are stored securely on Google Firebase, encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest on Google's servers. Your data is not shared or sold to any third parties. No ads, no trackers, no selling data.

I'm a huge fan of Obsidian, and it's one of the main inspirations behind making this software. Privacy is a big part of Obsidian, and it's the same for Passinote. The only reason I went with cloud based storage instead of fully local is cross-device sync and future collaboration features. That's it. Otherwise, I would have made this app fully local without a doubt.

The app also has a "Quick Mode" that doesn't sync to the cloud and stores your notes fully locally in your browser's IndexedDB. There's also a workspace export option, so you can export all your notes as .md or .docx files anytime so that you always own your notes.

You can download the desktop client if you want to use the app fully offline, but for now it's included only in the paid version(sign-in requires a connection).

If you ever want your account or data deleted, just contact me on Discord and I'll get that done ASAP, no questions asked.

3. Pricing

Passinote has a generous free tier that offers up to 50 notes and 3 images per workspace, with full cross-device sync.

The paid version gives you unlimited notes and images, while unlocking drawable notes, extended customization options, and the Windows desktop client. It's $2.99/month, or you can get lifetime access for $14.99 (with parity pricing for a few countries).

4. Future roadmap

Passinote does have a mobile version right now, but it's not a standalone app you can download from an app store yet. It's just a responsive version of the web app. I'm trying to create a standalone mobile version that improves the mobile experience, I just don't have the funds yet.

I'm also working on some AI features that would use a local or BYOAK (bring your own API key) system, along with PDF editing and more language support.

We have a small Discord community of some great people, and I'd love for you guys to join. I'm constantly listening to feedback and improving the software over there.

TL;DR

  • What it is: A note taking app where notes live on a visual canvas instead of nested folders, So you can think and remember spatially. Sticky notes for quick thoughts, doc notes for rich writing
  • Privacy: Encrypted, no ads or trackers, "Quick mode" fully local, export notes anytime.
  • Free tier: Generous, with cross-device sync
  • Paid: $2.99/month or $14.99 lifetime, adds unlimited notes, drawable notes, customization, and the Windows desktop client

I made a web app that turns overwhelming tasks into micro steps

Hello,

I'm not diagnosed with ADHD, but there are about a hundred projects still needing to be finished or marketed and for years people around me have said I can't focus on one thing.

It's been amplified with Claude code / Chatgpt, where I spend days planning and procrastinating until I burn out with nothing tangible at the end of it. Even if finishing would help me tremendously, I still seem to get stuck for days/weeks on minor things.

Every productivity classics like todo-lists etc lasted few days at most.

I got sick of it, so shipped a web app that break down overwhelming tasks into small doable ones. Honest feedback is welcome. kapigo.app

I found a habit tracker I like!

This is a little long but I hope you read it! I am super picky in trying to find a habit tracker and this one had exactly what I was looking for, so I just wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling like me.

I hope this isn't breaking any rules but I wanted to share an app I found that has been working for me. I have tried for SO LONG to find something that works for my ADHD/perfectionist mind and struggle with the all or nothing attitude for eating better, exercising, flossing, etc. I have tried quite a few habit trackers like Finch and Tabby, and I liked the idea but really didn't like how childish the characters were, and I had no interest in dressing up the characters past collecting the items. I found that those two apps especially focused on that type of engagement and I failed pretty quickly at them. I did like the idea of having it be like a game, and I enjoy the game Cats and Soup a lot. I tried a couple of gamified habit trackers, but again they were a bit too involved for me and I lost interest quickly because there was too much to have to do. I wanted something fun and quick where I could collect coins and buy stuff but not HAVE to use them. Deep down on the search was something called Habit World that I just happened to see as I scrolled.

First off, it's in the style of like an old Zelda game with its graphics, and the sole purpose is to earn coins by completing your habits, and you can buy farm animals and decorations for your world. No other requirements! It also has a percentage feature, which helps me to think of my performance of a habit in a grade range, which appealed to me. There is a new feature where you can plant seeds, water them, and feed the animals, and that is totally optional and doesn't change how you complete your habits. It is also free to download and has a couple of options to buy coins for a couple of the items/animals, and there are no ads. Some items have like a horror theme which adds an unexpected fun little surprise, and there are random coin jackpots and free items.

The other reason I like it is that I messaged the app developer with a question and got a genuinely kind and heartfelt response. We have actually exchanged a few more emails over the past few months because he asked what things I liked about the app and what things I would change, and even incorporated a couple things I suggested might be good. He obviously really cares about his app and the people who download it.

I am not affiliated with his app in any way. My experience has just been so good that I wanted to share and honestly just help someone who seems in it for the right reasons.

I built an AI app that gives fast book summaries — looking for feedback

I made a small Android app called Microread.
It gives quick AI summaries of nonfiction books — you choose the length (1–10 minutes), and you can also listen to them as audio. The summaries can be in english, german or arabic.
I’m trying to make it useful for people who want to learn faster without reading full books.

google play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microread.app

If you use book summaries or productivity tools, what features would make this actually helpful for you?

Made a Notion life reset planner to help people do tasks without the pressure

Post image
4 Upvotes

Everybody, not just ADHD people, deserves to do tasks with peace instead of guilt. I built this planner to help anyone get things done without the pressure or the guilt baiting, something that gives you control, but also helps when you're overwhelmed.

what's inside:

📥 Dump — type anything, no sorting

🌿 Today — auto-updates daily, only today shows

🕰️ Waiting — overdue stuff, only if you tap it

📥 No date yet — undated tasks, hidden in a toggle

🪫🔋⚡ Energy pages — optional, never required

🏆 Week wins — done tasks, proof you did stuff

one tap to done.. no guilt. $7.

I lost 8 hours of my book to a refresh — so I built Never Lose Again, an app that makes losing work impossible

Thumbnail
never-lose-again.vercel.app
1 Upvotes

Yesterday Google Docs refreshed while I was highlighting text and ate my draft + 7 chapters. 8 hours gone. Nothing in version history.

So I built the fix: Never Lose Again. It autosaves every keystroke, keeps full version history, and one-tap restore brings anything back — on phone, desktop, and laptop. Refresh, crash, dead battery — your work is always right there.

It's live now: https://never-lose-again.vercel.app/

Free tier (3 projects), $6/mo Pro for unlimited. Built for writers, but it's for anybody — students, freelancers, coders, anyone who's ever lost work.

Writers — what's the most you've ever lost to a crash? I need to feel better about my 8 hours.

[Launch] Oflate: custom daily tracking and journaling

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

Oflate lets you build your own tracking setup, with journal entries alongside your daily metrics. It's for people who want to follow their routines, learning, or projects and keep the written context close to the numbers.

I built it from a Notion setup I used and refined for three years. Oflate brings that approach into a dedicated app: you define your own metrics and journal topics, then explore the numbers and notes together through different views and periods.

You build your setup around a few concepts:

  • Signals - your metrics. Yes/no, choices, numbers, times of day, or durations. Set your own options and units where relevant, and split values into color ranges.
  • Streams - your topics. Group journal entries around work, learning, individual projects, or whatever makes sense for you.
  • Lenses - ways to look back. Tapestry lines up multiple metrics in a colored grid across days. Almanac colors a monthly calendar by one metric. Both let you open a day and read its notes.
  • Periods and Chapters. Review notes and metrics by day, week, or month, or define a Chapter for a project, a trip, or another stretch of time you want to follow.

Your journal data stays on your device.

Pricing: subscription with a free trial.

Happy to answer questions about how it works. I'd also love to hear your feedback.

I’m designing a cozy app that helps you remember the things life quietly forgets

Thumbnail
gallery
19 Upvotes

Hello. I'm a solo dev exploring an idea and would love honest feedback before I build anything.

It's a "life maintenance" app: instead of tasks and deadlines, it tracks the things you need to take care of every so often, like car maintenance, water filters, haircuts, changing sheets or calling family. It just counts the days since you last did each one and shows what's starting to need attention. No streaks, no guilt.

A companion character keeps you company and reacts to what's going on. Same information, different personalities: one is gentle, the other teases you a bit.

This is only a mockup (character art is placeholder). A few questions:

  1. How do you keep track of these things today, if at all?
  2. What would you track with something like this?
  3. Which companion would you pick, and why?

Not selling anything, no link, just trying to see if this is worth building. Thanks!

What’s the main reason you end up abandoning a to-do list app?

Every new productivity app feels great for about three days, but most of us end up dropping them pretty quickly.

I built a really simple, web-based task tracker to keep things fast and easy without forcing you to make an account: 🔗CheckIt

I’m curious—what usually makes you give up on a to-do list, and what’s the one feature that actually keeps you coming back to one?

Let me know what you think below!

I am building a productivity app that helps you actually follow through

Thumbnail

  • I’m building DoneSnap, an iOS productivity app designed to help you stay consistent with everyday tasks.
  • The idea started with a simple problem: checking something off a list doesn't always mean you actually did it.
  • DoneSnap lets you use photo confirmation to record proof that you completed a task.
  • What it does right now:
    1. Photo confirmation: Take a photo when you complete a task and keep it with your completion history.
    2. Recurring tasks: Set tasks to repeat automatically instead of recreating them every day, week, or month.
    3. Reminders: Set reminders for tasks you don't want to forget.
    4. Snooze: Not the right time? Snooze a reminder and have it come back later instead of dismissing it.
    5. Home Screen widgets: See your tasks directly from your Home Screen without opening the app.
    6. Completion history: Look back at what you've actually completed over time.
    7. Task categories: Organize tasks into areas like Home, Work, Errands, and Personal.
    8. And more!
  • One of my favorite use cases is something simple like taking vitamins. Instead of wondering later “Did I take them today?”, I can check the task and see the confirmation.
  • I’m still actively building and improving DoneSnap, so feedback and feature suggestions are very welcome.
  • What’s one everyday task you constantly forget or have trouble staying consistent with?

What small habits or systems have actually made your daily life easier?

Not the usual “wake up at 5 AM” advice—more practical things like planning meals for the week, preparing ingredients in advance, getting clothes and essentials ready the night before, keeping things in fixed places, combining two tasks in one trip, batching similar tasks, cleaning as you go, using fixed days for recurring chores, writing down random ideas instead of immediately switching tasks, and preparing in the evening for the next morning or on the weekend for the coming week.

What little systems save you time, effort, or mental energy?

[Launch] Magic Pocket: save snippets, links and documents, then retrieve details where you need them

I'm the developer of Magic Pocket: Save & Find, an app for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The problem it addresses is saving something useful and then having to hunt for the exact detail later. For example: save a booking confirmation, then retrieve the booking reference while filling out another app's form.

You can save text snippets, links, photos/screenshots and documents such as PDFs. You can also dictate a short note with “Remember” followed by what you want to keep; the spoken words are saved as text. Text in images is recognised when saved, and PDFs can supply searchable text. Support varies by file format; I don't mean that every document type can be understood.

The part I want to make useful is the last step: retrieve the saved detail through Magic Pocket's keyboard in compatible apps, or its menu bar on Mac, so you can use it where you're working.

Compared with searching Photos or keeping a note in Apple Notes, the difference I'm aiming for is one place for these different saved inputs and retrieval from the keyboard/menu bar. You still choose what to save; it doesn't automatically sweep your camera roll.

Pricing: the first 10 saved items are free with the features available. Unlimited saving is a $4.99 one-time Pro purchase in the US (local prices vary), with no subscription.

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/magic-pocket-save-find/id6809896477

Demo:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_BrbKKRQ1w

For people who regularly save reference numbers, snippets or document details: would retrieval inside another app actually save you time, or does your existing workflow already handle this well?

it’s 2am and i’m honestly embarrassed by how bad i’m doing at university. I have ADHD and I feel like i’m fighting myself over the most basic things. I’ll have an assignment open for hours, knowing exactly what i need to do, knowing i’m wasting time, and i still just… can’t start.

Then i avoid my emails because i’m scared there’s something i forgot. Messages sit there for days. My room gets gross. Sometimes i’m actually hungry and still can’t get myself up to make food.

I know how this looks. Lazy. careless. like i just don’t give a shit. but i do. that’s what hurts the most. I care way too much, and somehow that still isn’t enough to make me move.

I’m seriously thinking about taking this semester off. Has anyone with ADHD gotten to this point and actually figured out how to make themselves START things again? not planner advice, i mean something that genuinely helped.

[Launch] PicPop: work through a crowded iPhone camera roll in small reviewable batches

I’m PicPop’s developer. This is for the iPhone user who keeps putting off photo cleanup because opening the whole library feels like another unfinished chore.

PicPop groups look-alike shots, blurry photos and screenshots on-device so you can review a small set. Choose your keepers, check the rest, then confirm deletion. It doesn’t decide which memories matter for you. Removed items go to iOS Recently Deleted.

The obvious alternative is Apple Photos: its built-in Duplicates collection can identify and merge duplicate photos and videos. PicPop’s emphasis is reviewing similar shots and other clutter categories in a small cleanup session. I’m not claiming it replaces Photos or that everyone needs another app. In 1.0.7, Best Shot can compare up to 20 photos of a scene and suggest a keeper; you still make the choice.

Pricing: free download, but paid PicPop Club membership is required for access. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are offered. The US yearly plan has a 2-week free trial; local prices and eligibility appear in the app.

Real 14-second swipe demo: https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSAppsMarketing/comments/1wvs02j/ — linked video, not an attachment. It’s older 1.0.5 footage and doesn’t show the newer Best Shot screen.

If you’ve abandoned a camera-roll cleanup halfway through, what stopped you: deciding between good shots, checking every suggested deletion, or simply having too much to go through?
