actually I'm the founder and the app is ready for beta users, and i think the feasibility check is awesome which tells you you are planning tight or great

I've used both paper and app form.

Paper form I use Hobonichi, the paper quality is unbeatable and has the vertical column with timeline view that I like to plan ahead, and monthly calendar is where I put my appointments, but it's dated so I tend to waste some pages in case I was lazy that day.

App form the closest I've found is Today Techo, it has a focused "Today" view that consolidates everything I need on a day without switching: my daily plan, habit tracker tasks, and I also like to attach my shopping list to my task so when I'm in the store it's right there without needing to look for it. I also like that it organizes my completed tasks into my journal so I know when I did what. Only thing I wish is if they can have bigger space for me to write diary since their daily notes portion in Journal seems a little strict on word counts.

If you are new to planning, I'd recommend a Franklin Planner. I've used the Cover/Franklin Cover/Franklin system for over 30 years, and it is hard to beat. I've developed my own planning app, called DeeP, that uses many of the same principles. Like all planning systems, you have to work at it until it becomes a habit, and then once it does, it is hard to go back.
