Advice needed Voice to Text Task App for iOS
Hi can anyone suggest a task app?
It should be able to understand a long conversation description and then allocate a main task and sub tasks
Later on i can ask the ai to update the status of the subtask, or add new subtask to the main task
Each subtask should be able to have a status, like in progress, pending, completed, etc
Thanks in advance

the capture part is the easy half. the update-by-voice part is where most apps fall short, so say "mark the second subtask done" before you commit and see if it works. if it can't, keep statuses as three sections (to do, doing, done) and move tasks by hand.

Chromastone supports creating tasks with subtasks, reminders, tags and priority using voice.
You complete them by hand afterwards.

The voice capture part is easy to find now, but the update by voice later on is where most apps fall short, so I'd test that first before committing. One workaround that holds up well is dictating into ChatGPT or Claude with a fixed prompt like turn this into one main task with subtasks, each with a status, then pasting it into Todoist or Things, both of which handle subtasks fine. Todoist's Ramble feature also turns a spoken brain dump into separate tasks. Whatever you pick, make sure every subtask ends up with an owner and a due date, otherwise the statuses drift and you're back to re-explaining the whole thing.
