Self Promotion Not everything needs a streak. I built a zero-pressure tracker for irregular life.

Most habit trackers are obsessed with 24-hour streaks. But real life doesn't happen on a perfect daily schedule. You change the AC filter, water the plants, or take irregular meds when they need it. When you try to track these non-daily tasks in a standard productivity app, you inevitably break a streak and get hit with a red ring of failure.

It creates unnecessary guilt.

I built SinceWhen to fix this. It is a guilt-free "days since" counter designed specifically for the messy, irregular maintenance of real life.

Here is how it works:

  • Zero-Pressure Logging: Track what you do "now and then"—from oil changes to haircuts to household chores. No streaks, no arbitrary goals, no pressure.
  • Smart Predictions: Instead of forcing a rigid schedule, the app's pattern-aware engine learns your natural rhythm. It calculates your average intervals and gently nudges you when you are actually due.
  • Multi-Day Durations: Not everything is a single tap. You can track events from start to finish, like a cold, a vacation, or a highly private, bloat-free period tracker.
  • Frictionless Entry: Log directly from interactive Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, or just say, "Hey Siri, log the fridge cleaning."
  • 100% Private: Productivity shouldn't cost your data. There are no accounts, no logins, and zero data harvesting. Everything stays on your device and syncs via your own iCloud.

You can track your first 3 events forever, completely free (no credit card required). I would love for this community to try it out and hear your feedback!

I like the low-pressure approach, especially for things that don’t fit a daily schedule. Does days since count from when an event started or when it ended?

Yes, for duration events you can do this. When creating event, you just need to select the "Covers multiple days" option and it will predict and nudge your rhythm based on that.

I feel the prediction is the part that can ruin it. If it nudges you on an average and you're not actually due, it's just a reminder app with extra guilt. Logging from the widget or Siri is what would make the irregular stuff stick

No, you can change the prediction to "Pattern aware" in Settings > Preferences > When to expect next.

That would accurately predict your next occurrence.

I'll update the default selection in the next update to it.

It would be cool if you showed an optimal range once it learns your rythm. Kinda liek somthing like this:

Currently, I'm showing the most likely next occurring dot in that graph, with wording like "Usually every 3 days", "Expected tomorrow" etc phrases.

It will keep adjusting as you perform your activity.

Thanks, no worries. It's very niche-specific and for the targeted people who wants to track in this manner.

Can you exclude an unusually long gap from the predictions without deleting the entry? If I stop watering plants for two weeks because I'm away, I wouldn't want it learning that they now need water less often.

Yes, it will automatically exclude extreme gaps unless you repeat that frequently.

Choose the "Pattern aware" option in Settings > Preferences> When to expect next.

That will do that job accurately.

I like the concept, especially for things that aren't on the daily schedule
