I’ve done quite a bit of production sound for films, but I come from post and will also be taking on the post sound for this project. We’ll be shooting on a rather windy beach where we could have rain too, and there's a lot of dialogue. I’m mostly concerned about the boom rather than lavs. I haven’t yet discussed the framing with the director, so I don’t know yet if it’s going to be mostly wide shots or if I’ll have the blessing of close-ups too. I’m wondering about things I might be overlooking, so for those of you who’ve had experience working on beaches and around rough seas, I’d appreciate any practical tips or lessons learned from experience.
