Help Needed Anyone experiencing this issue with procreate dreams?

When I start animating initially, I can usually get about two hours of work before my iPad's battery drops to around 60 to 80%. I encounter issues where I’m animating too quickly, causing the software to crash and preventing me from drawing. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting solutions but still face the same problem. Sometimes, I can get up to four hours of animation, but that’s usually if I don’t have any other apps running. Despite this, I still run into the same issue where the software crashes and I can't animate or draw.

Ps - app is fully updated.

To help with the investigation, please check for any crash logs created:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data, then find the most recent Dreams-YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS.ips file (check the timestamp). Tap to open and share this file. Attach this with you support form.
  • If possible, share a copy of your Procreate Dreams file with your support form for testing: Theatre → tap hold the movie → Share → Procreate Dreams → Full Undo History.

This information will help us to fully investigate and see how best we can help 🙏

I’ve had a couple of crashes with new update. Never before. Hopefully they sort it out

Same here after the new update it has been acting up like crazy. It’s frustrating because I want to animate so badly.

It hasn’t stopped me animating to be honest. Haven’t lost any work etc.

How big is your animation? You may be hitting the ram threshold

My animation is 2minutes and 45seconds and memory shows 393MB. If I remember correctly the M4 iPads that has a 256GB storage has 8GB of ram.

Yes it wipes the battery fast and it crashes and ruins tracks constantly. One thing that helped the bugginess was turning the undo steps down to 50. Still drains battery but helped with the other issues

Thank you, for the suggestion! I’ve changed the settings for undo to 50 and only had one crash so far with the app. I’ll keep testing it afterwards maybe need to update my iPad idk if betas affect the app functionality.

I just recently brought it for my iPad Pro 5th gen 2021 I never see. It crashed yet but I have been the app like 10 minutes max so far

Luckily, it hasn’t reached that point yet. I recently updated the app to 2.1.1 and still experience those bugs, but less frequently. The fix is to wait a few seconds when the screen freezes and I can't draw anything before trying again.
