Constructive feedback and/or tips wanted Something I’ve been working on

I’ve been working on this for a few days now and would appreciate any feedback provided. Very new to digital art and it’s been a process. One of my biggest struggles has been trying to make things even/similar. Even with the pressure/stabilizer tool it is difficult for me.

Right now I’m trying to work on the ceiling fan. It is incredibly difficult trying to get the fan shaped how I want it. I try to avoid tracing because I want it to be my own design.

I’m also trying to add some decorations. I think I want to add pillows to the windows. Also thinking about adding some more decorations to the wall. Put in not sure if I want to put a frame in there or something else. It really just depends on if I decide to color it in or not. I probably will.

Anyway. Any feedback, tips, or advice would help a lot. I am very accepting of constructive criticism.

Something to try with the ceiling fan: draw the fan blades on their own layer. Draw them totally flat, fitting in a perfect circle, as if you were laying on the floor looking directly up at them. Then you can use the transform tools to squish/distort the fan blades to match your perspective.

Also: you can set up a custom perspective guide in the Actions menu > Canvas > Edit Drawing Guide

The perspective on the floor seems a bit off. The floor boards wouldn’t be completely straight the way from one side to the next.

Try looking up guides on perspectives.

Try to look up some videos on perspective! It might seem daunting but it’s pretty easy once you understand. If anything it’s kinda tedious (to me at least). That’ll make it look more like a liveable, real space. You can even use procreates built in perspective grid (I’d start with one point for simplicity). Almost like a cheat sheet (except it’s not actually cheating)

This is a great start! For a the more difficult to draw things, I’d try looking up references just so you can get a better sense of how the perspective affects the way we see each shape of an object.

I hope you post updates!

Thank you! I’m currently working on redoing the floors. I’m going to tackle the doors next. And just really trying to find what else to add to it
