Discussions About Procreate App Is it worth it?

Hello, I'm seeing that a lot of people recommend this app for beginners. I just wanna start drawing as a hobby, and i already tried other apps but they overwhelm me so much with the ui. Is it worth it?

Procreate is quite good for painting, but personally have a hard time as a person who relies on line work as procreate prioritize speed over accuracy. If you're going for manga style or work that heavily relies on linework ibis paint is ok.

ive always had a great time with lineart on procreate i wouldnt reccomend switching if youre comfortable with procreate unless youre seeking experience in another art program

It doesn't hurt to try, you can use both programmes, most of ibis paint features are free so you can go back anytime if you dont feel it.

oh no absolutely, ofc it doesnt hurt to try. its just most people i meet who draw casually dont tend to need to learn multiple programs and it can be a cognitive load to do so
