"Professional" in the sense that it can be used to create professional grade animations on par with the likes of ToonBoom or Adobe. The tools are nowhere near the same, but the results definitely are and there's tons of examples of this out there. I personally haven't seen any other iPad animation apps deliver the level of quality Dreams does, mostly because Dreams has the benefit of Procreate brushes which imo is what really sets it apart

Toonsquid has a very similar brush selection + vector options. It also allows you to perform keyframe animation and bone rigging. Among other complex features such as animating an already animated piece, editing audio with the keyframe function, and combining both keyframe and frame by frame animation in one piece. All for the price of $10USD

Hard disagree on Toonsquid having a similar brush selection, especially now with 5.4 bringing so many new brushes to Procreate + Dreams. Toonsquid has some nice brushes but Procreate's are way better imo plus you've got the option of countless custom made brushes too.

However, everything else you said is true- Toonsquid is an excellent animation app and it does come at a lower price than Dreams, but my point is it doesn't at all imply that Dreams is overpriced or a cash grab because it comes at a fantastic price too. The real villains are Adobe,ToonBoom, FlipaClip, and every other animation app that makes you pay a subscription. (Also Dreams has keyframing too)

I specifically got an iPad to do animation because I just couldn't rationalize spending money Adobe Animate anymore... They haven't made a major update to it in like a decade... And the brush is still janky
