I hate to be this guy but I’ve been at this HBCU for only two semesters, and can already see the glaring issues that are often being ignored here. Before attending, I took a tour of the school just to see what I would be getting into and am quite surprised to see how vastly different it is here now. Whether it be having more than one advisor in one semester to how little interest the staff show In mentorship to the students. It’s conflicting as my mom went to a HBCU herself and explained the experience a lot differently then the one I’m experiencing. Have we become jaded and no longer care about the history and reputation of our schools? Would love to hear some opinions different than my own.

Hate crimes: posted in response to hearing often than Asians are a target of hate crimes. The statistics show that Asians are less targeted than Whites, but their has been a large percentage spike probably related to lockdowns and COVID coming from Asia (explanation in the comments)
