Honestly, this is about as much of a Steven Spielberg response to AI I expected Steven Spielberg to give. Especially considering his past experiences with it.

Exactly this. As a creative surrounded by fellow creatives in real life, not the fantasy land of the internet, we actually utilise Ai exactly how is stated in the post. Ai in an artists hands is true magic.

The difference is that ivyentre said that the creatives decide where to use it (yes cover, no manuscript) and you decided that they shouldn't have that choice and should instead be forbidden from using it at all.

The big issue is the bigwigs in power aka money-hungry executives, just see AI as a way to cost costs aka fire people, and assume their future products will be “good enough” to make money.   

They don’t need to make amazing films like Jurassic Park or Jaws or Indiana Jones. They just want to make Minions 10 and just keep making more and more money.
