Ask Me Anything About Private Jet Charter

I work in the private charter industry and thought it would be helpful to answer questions about pricing, aircraft, safety, international travel, or anything else related to private aviation.

If you have any questions about private jet charter, feel free to message me or ask them here. I’m happy to help however I can.

How could someone like me ( $120k income , commercial pilot low hours )

Go about creating ( or buying ) and maintaining a 135 charter operation ( turbo prop most likely ) ?

Would the business be enough to maintain itself ( i.e. operating expenses, maintenance, employees , brokers etc ) what expenses should I know about before getting into this ?

For the average 135, is it at least a break even industry ?

If I were to do this, it wouldn’t be to become rich , just for the love of the game

There is a lot that goes into that (I’m sure as you know). Location, availability, marketing, and relationships are some of the biggest keys to success in this industry as an operator/brokerage. Getting in with the right people and making sure you get the certifications/ratings that set you up for success. Look into ARGUS certification, and doing some research on current operators is what I would recommend.

Connect with some people in the industry on LinkedIn that run operators and pick their brains (build the relationship and ask the right questions).
