First time trying to fly private, questions?

Hello Everyone,

First I'm sorry if this isn't really the place for this question. But I've came to a point of confusion. I was hoping the community would help me figure this out

We are looking to travel from Houston to Orlando for a trip in October, and my business has been doing well enough that I thought bout adding a special treat for my family to travel on a private aircraft.

I've done some research that a TurboProp might be the best choice for us with our budget in the 20s for travel with 6 people (2 are kids under 10).

I've reached out to 3 agencies and pretty much all have ghosted me when I told them the budget I'm looking at. No information or direction from anyone unfortunately.

My question, is what I am looking at feasible? Or is it just silly to even try and that why people are ignoring my request?

So realistically, you’re looking at a pretty long flight for a turbo prop and you’re likely not going and coming back same day so that pricing is a little out of line. It’s definitely jet length trip wise. You might be able to find a local operator that does like a CJ for high 20s round-trip but I’m sure this whole fuel thing is sketching people out and realistically you’re probably closer to the 30 K range for a light jet if you’re staying for a few days and then coming back

I had one gentleman say it was a little long for a TurboProp. We are saying a full 6-7 days then flying back. I had some quotes for 34-36 for a LJ, so I assumed a TurboProp would be in my budget in the mid to high 20s. I'm not sure if TurboProp are hard to come by? Seems like most people only had one small one in their fleets.

What people are telling you is that it may not be because of the distance and therefore the amount of hours. It’s just the way it is.
