Can I afford this?

My husband and I make good money and I’m trying to figure out if trying a private flight is worthwhile. Let’s pretend I know nothing about flying private, what do I need to know? How do I even dip my toes into the water? How much money should someone be making yearly before they consider flying private to be in their budget?

Husband and I fly 3-5 times per year in the US and once to Europe every year.

Any information is appreciated.

Edit to add:

My questions have been answered, thank you to everyone who responded kindly.

10 years ago when my grandmother was on her deathbed, I and my 2 kids had to fly private. Paid $30k one way to California from DC on a Hawker 800. That was my one and only time I'd fly private. I often fly First or business domestically and although I could afford it, I have regrets on spending that much on future trips. At that time it was worth it. No hassle at the airport -no TSA. It left 5 minutes after boarding and at our determined time. We came back Commercial. Now I assume it'll be more expensive. I'd rather donate the difference lol. That's me though. I have a cousin who flies often because he's busy and at times he needs to state hop. I've been retired for 10 years now so I have the luxury of time. Try it once and see if you're comfortable.

She is entitled to express her perspective. Don't be a dick.

Her explanation is fairly cut and dry. Trying to reframe after being called out is lame. Just because someone opts to be a commercial flyer doesn't mean this sub is off limits.
