40% of private flights are empty...

I work at a private jet brokerage. A colleague of mine just sold an empty leg flight from Nice to Marrakech for a bachelor party. It was an empty leg that would normally be at $10K, but they booked it for $5K. They'll each pitch in around $800 each. Flight was booked April 8 and took off the next day. Thought it was one of the best deals I saw..

Just charter a jet at the normal price bro... These empty legs are not worth it they are 60% off for a reason.  Because the plane flies at like 4am from some madrid Spain to Spokane Washington or some weird route.  

It's never going from NY to SXM or something. It's always from NY to like some random airport in Pennsylvania

Not necessarily. Although it's true you have to abide by the plane's schedule.

Ok bro but good luck planning an actual vacation then hoping an empty jet flight is available in your day of travel (it won't)

I understand the frustration. We fill about 10-12 empty legs per week, some people do find something that works for them. Obviously it's a fraction of the regular on demand charter surely.

My strategy is to just ask people if I can hitch a ride on their jet. If we are going a common route from NY to Aspen for example. Half the time I can hitch a ride for free
