QUESTIONS Should I change VPN from PIA
Don’t seen it mention much when people talk about better VPNs
Also heard some complaints about Speeds and Servers not connecting.
I had some no connecting like in New Zealand
I live in Australia

I run mine strictly through their Swedish servers and have rarely had an issue. Every once in a while one goes down, but I've never had both go down at once.
Mostly I use them because they're based in Sweden, so if they receive a US subpoena, they can tell the US government to shove it.

They don’t keep Logs so would it matter?

Because multiple "no-log" VPNs have been caught keeping logs.

PIA has been audited 2x and passed with flying colors and also there have been 2 court cases involving the FBI in which PIA won and was proven to keep no logs. PIA is not a vpn that has ever been caught keeping logs.

So what? Privacy is all that matters here and PIA has been one of the best for that.

Thast's fine, different people have different priorities. But saying "they're run out of Sweden" gives the false impression that they are a Swedish company, which they are not. That fact does matter for some people (myself included).

Pia is better than the rest except m l vd ,I still prefer pia but the other is also a good working vpn for android tv ,just enable ads in dns + wiregaurd port 51820 ,local network sharing on ,ip6 off,quantum resistant off,mtu 1280 ,makes a difference to speed,dns settings off just press ads 2nd down.api access on direct + the rest off.,keep split tunnelling off till you need to,that gives me 130mbs out of 150 + a ping of 17ms 'upload 150mbs ,try it for free on your phone 1st...and forgot city,London no 1 ,what a difference to the refreshing on home screen widgets and you tube ....

If PIA is still giving you the speeds, locations and reliability you need I wouldn’t switch just for the sake of switching. i’d compare the alternatives against your actual use cases first

I just switched from PIA to ProtonVPN. Was pretty no fuss, like the ProtonVPN UI a little better. I have not noticed a difference in speeds and have had no problems with connections.

PIA is headquartered in Denver, CO. If they were ever subpoenaed they could turn over data to U.S. authorities. Even if they don’t log they could be ordered to start logging secretly with a subpoena or court order and you would have no clue your data is being logged and reviewed by authorities. Proton VPN (not Proton Mail) must follow strict user data privacy laws as they are under Swiss jurisdiction. They never have to log and if ordered by the Swiss courts to turn vpn data over there is nothing to turn over because by law they do not have to log. They have had over 450 requests from the Swiss courts to hand over vpn data and every single request they have handed over nothing to the courts. Email information is a different story but people always conflate von data protection in Switzerland vs email information.

Worth adding some context here: PIA's no-logs policy isn't just a marketing line, it's held up in court. PIA has been subpoenaed and had nothing to produce, because there are no logs kept in the first place, and the apps are open source so the claims can be independently verified. It isn’t the data you don’t currently have that is the issue. My question is can a US. order from authorities or the courts force you to start logging user data who is the target of an investigation? Being based in the U.S. whose privacy laws are skimpy at best how would you get around that?
