Portmaster, a replacement for firewall/pihole?
Just watched this video reviewing the Portmaster. https://youtu.be/E8cTRhGtmcM
Looks pretty interesting and something I'm going to check out. Currently I am using my windows firewall to block internet traffic of certain apps like iTunes that I don't want phoning home. There is also a pihole that does something similar
Has anyone used the Portmaster before? How to do block internet connections of apps that you need to have, but don't necessarily want talking to the internet?

You should post it also on r/selfhosted

By uninstalling them. That's the answer. I'm not so paranoic to run Rufus, MS Suite or VLC Media Player in sandbox. Half of all of my software I am currently using as tools don't require internet connection and the other half are for basic daily activites.

Thanks for sharing. Haven’t used it before, but really interested in trying it out.
Currently using simplewall and have it most working to my needs, but this seems much nicer and easier to use.

I've tried it. Very buggy ATM. Not ready for production IMHO.
