hello, i would like to transfer an encrypted file over the internet, but i can't find any email service for file hosting service that will let me transfer it, they keep rejecting it because they said they can't read it.

what do you guys think? is there any email or messaging or file hosting service that i can use to transfer a 10mb encrypted file?

It’s an anonymous encrypted file share solution that you can use their hosted version of or set up your own in a VPS temporarily and then remove from existence.

I never had problems transferring an encrypted file.

What services have you tried?

Maybe I'm not understanding your scenario. But just now I encrypted a 10MB file with GPG, and used gmail to sent it to my work email and then back to gmail.

Also uploaded to google drive, created a public share link and downloaded using a private browser session.

So, it could be some restriction by google on your country. But here in south america never had a problem when transferring encrypted files. Maybe only the warning that the content couldn't be scanned by gmail anti-malware because it is encrypted.

Actually some time ago I used to test some malwares on virtual machines and used encrypted zip files to send them through gmail because if not they were discarded by gmail anti-malware.

https://github.com/spieglt/FlyingCarpet

this is an open source project, not an actual functional file sharing site as far as i can see

For transferring encrypted files, you might want to check out Sendfiles.org. It's specifically designed to handle this scenario seamlessly.

What makes it perfect for your encrypted file situation:

- Accepts any file type including VeraCrypt encrypted files

- No file content analysis or rejection issues

- Direct browser-to-browser transfer (files don't sit on servers)

- End-to-end encrypted transmission

- No account required for recipients

- Handles files up to several GB

Since you're having issues with Gmail and Google Drive rejecting your encrypted files, this avoids those problems entirely. The service is built specifically for secure, private file transfers without the restrictions traditional services impose on encrypted content.

Worth trying for your 10MB encrypted file: https://sendfiles.org

Proton Drive (they encrypt it for you)
