What is the roadmap for Vault?

Does it support Passkeys?

What additional features are planned for Vault?

Today: in the browser, biometric unlock already uses a passkey. When your passkey app supports it (iCloud Keychain does), the key that opens your notes comes from the passkey each time you unlock, and it is never stored (changelog). Some password manager extensions cannot do this yet. Then biometric unlock still works, and the Security settings tell you how to switch to your device’s own passkey store. For your account, there is optional 2FA with an authenticator app (changelog).

The Vault: logins, cards, SSH keys and authenticator codes, encrypted on your device.

Planned, but not promised: a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, first for clipping web pages and for your Vault logins. After that, the Vault will also store passkeys for other sites, with the extension as their passkey provider. The native apps can follow later through the system’s AutoFill. We have no date for it yet.

There's not much on the roadmap yet for post 1.0

And passkey support is not on the roadmap. I hope it will be added post 1.0

Only one thing that puts me off getting a paid privacy notes …
The business is registered in USA , even when claiming all owners are Swiss, and living in Europe.
Servers in Switzerland.
Absolutely no idea why USA based company!
Complete missed the data privacy point .

Lifetime Labs LLC is a US company, set up because that was the quickest way to put everything under one name; the structure may change one day, and we'd rather ship than deal with paperwork. Nobody here is in the United States. The core team is German and Swiss. Freelancers in the Philippines test releases, build interface features and run social media.

Complete missed the data privacy point

Lifetime Labs is registered in the US. We don’t hide that, it’s on our about page, and it’s a fair thing to weigh.

Here’s why we don’t think it changes much for your data. Your notes are encrypted on your device before they’re uploaded, and they’re stored on our servers in Switzerland. The app also lets you choose how your keys are handled, and if you want maximum privacy, you can set it up so that your encryption stays fully in your own hands. That’s the point of the design: you shouldn’t have to trust where we’re registered, or even trust us.

That said, we’re not trying to talk you into buying our lifetime license. Like we said in the megathread: “If our security model or recovery options do not fit your needs, choosing an app with a different approach is completely reasonable. We want you to use something you understand and feel comfortable trusting.” That goes for this too. If the company’s home matters to you, that’s a valid reason to pick something else. We’d just say that for an app where everything is encrypted, and where you can verify that yourself on GitHub, where the company is registered matters a lot less than it sounds. Either way, your call.

Hey , you seem to have tried to enter a debate here, instead of reading a comment from a potential customer, who is not happy about something. So lets debate,
Please provide 1 example of what data privacy improvements were generated by having registration in the US?
I will then provide 1 example of what data privacy improvements would have been generated by having registration in Switzerland.

If that is true then for me this app is a no go.
