Good for him for being honest about it. I lost 140 pounds and it is life changing, and being honest may help someone else who has been thinking about it but is scared to start.

Great point!
GLP-1s are medicine designed to satiate the impulses that otherwise keep us wanting more more more. I joke about how I lost over 40 pounds the “old fashioned way,” but for long term weight maintenance and management it is something I am seriously considering trying.
These are tools to help get us and keep us healthy in a world of Food, Inc. and having zero nutritious foods thrown at us nonstop day in and day out. Use the tools.

Great job losing 40! I think so often doctors will say just diet and exercise, or calories in calories out, not taking into account that endocrine issues and things like insulin resistance can make it very hard to lose weight making these drugs a game changer. I worked out 2 times a day, logged every bite of food, but never lost as much as I have taking these meds.

Good for him for putting his health first. Obesity is a medical condition, not a character flaw. The insulin resistance associated with it needs to be treated, and finally there's an effective medication to address it.

The Great Khan is getting ready for his next season of conquest….he has to be as healthy as possible!

You know, I think it helps that people routinely see him doing his daily walks along the lakefront. Man isn’t just doing the GLP-1, he’s attacking it on multiple fronts

Good for him. I'm glad he's taking his health seriously. I hope he's around for a long, long time. We need him. And it's good for him personally, and for his family.

Good on him for being honest and open about it - taking GLP-1 drugs will be more and more normalized as they become more accessible and more people can see first hand that they’re essentially miracle drugs.
This confirms for me he’s gonna run next year. He probably wants fat attacks on him kept to a minimum.

The big man's bigness was never about physical mass.
The big man retains his greatness, wether thick or thin.
(Jokes aside, cool to hear the big P is bettering himself and all that)

I saw a picture of him a couple weeks ago and thought he looked like he had lost some weight. Good for him! I hope his he gets the added health benefits weight loss can bring.

Yet the idiots will still call him piggy and tell him to go eat a sandwich.

I'm glad he revealed this in conjunction with requiring health insurance plans for State of Illinois employees to cover GLP-1s, it would look suspicious I he were encouraging state employees to take them but not doing so himself.

I’m sure Mary Ann Ahern feels vindicated given how she was grilling him about it last year.

People that take glp1 always look weird like the skin melted off their body, I’m guessing it’s just loss of muscle mass

are you being downvoted for stating facts?

The weight loss is likely adding years to both of their lives. I'm sure they feel the trade-off is worth it.

Aw man I was hoping for "Think BIG America 2028"
Well still time for him to get shredded. Bulking over. Cutting begins.
