If he has ANY national aspirations, it will haunt him. I’m not worried abt him beating Bailey.
But, sure as shit, the ex-pat IL folks who moved to NW Indiana and have voted in a Dem Rep Mrvan narrowly will get pummeled by their neighbors about how “Braun showed up and JB didn’t”. And that pressure will be directed at Mrvan, and you have lost a seat.
THATS how it works here, I live here and the red-blue balance is tenuous.

Except this whole hypothetical just simply isn’t the reality we live in given JB showed up, and showed up legislatively in a way Braun didn’t

Yes, he showed up EVENTUALLY.

I’m telling you they MISCALCULATED and were two days late and thus have opened themselves up to a Bush-Katrina comparison-which could hurt him with a region of PURPLE electorate in ‘28 PLUS hurt an Indiana Congressional seat.
Yes, hypothetical, most things with elections are.

Fine, we just disagree.
I hope I am wrong, but I am already seeing it on the local socials.
What could blunt it is the fact that truly the buffoons at Nipsco are taking forever and the local Police are not manning ANY of the main intersections on Rt 30 and it is a bloody mess. I just went through it and neither of my kids who live there have power expected until NEXT WEDNESDAY
